Our Work

Eyes on Pollution

A community-driven watchdog initiative, this program encourages residents to report pollution events in real-time, helping to document environmental hazards from industrial activity. In addition to tracking pollution, we educate residents about chemicals of concern and their potential health impacts. We also advocate for stronger regulatory enforcement and policy changes to better protect our air, water, and community health.

Eyes on Air

We monitor air quality in Beaver County through various methods, including continuous air monitoring, mobile units, community-based projects, and episodic testing. We empower residents to report pollution events from nearby industrial activity and use community-driven data to advocate for cleaner, safer air for all.

Eyes on Water

We partner with organizations that monitor and clean up the Ohio River, working together to protect this vital water source. In addition to addressing pollution, we advocate for strong protections that prevent polluters from threatening our water supply, while providing direct support to improve access to clean drinking water for community members.

Eyes on Health

We educate residents about the health risks associated with environmental pollution and promote health studies in the region to better understand the long-term impacts. We also partner with organizations that educate medical professionals, ensuring they are informed about local environmental health concerns and prepared to address community needs.

Eyes on Transportation

We highlight the safety and environmental risks associated with the transportation of hazardous materials, particularly by rail. We work to address the health impacts and dangers of transporting petrochemicals and other toxic substances, advocating for stronger safety measures and regulations to protect Beaver County residents and the surrounding environment.

Educating Our Community

Through educational events, workshops, and materials, we raise awareness about the dangers of pollution and petrochemical infrastructure, empowering community members to advocate for their rights. Our free little library initiative also offers children access to books and resources that promote environmental education and advocacy.

Caring for Our Community

We connect community members impacted by pollution with essential resources and create opportunities to gather in solidarity and joy. From uplifting mutual aid requests to hosting events like our Thanksgiving dinner for residents affected by the East Palestine train derailment, we ensure everyone in our community feels supported, valued, and cared for.
